Saturday 21st April 2018 ‘Inspirations’

On Saturday 21st April 2018 the Sinfonia of Cambridge will be performing the following programme at West Road Concert Hall:

7:45 pm performance

Purcell       Incidental music to ‘Abdelazer’ 
Weil            Little Threepenny Music
Haydn        Symphony No 22 in E flat major ‘The Philosopher’                                                              Britten       Variations and Fugue on a Theme of Purcell (‘The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra’)

The Purcell, Haydn and Britten will be conducted by Mark Biggins and the Weill will be conducted by Viv Halton. Jan Kaznowski will lead.

3:45 pm performance (Children’s Concert)

This is a narrated performance for children and families. The performance will last approximately 45 minutes.

Britten       Variations and Fugue on a Theme of Purcell (‘The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra’) with narration.

Mark Biggins will conduct and narrate and Jan Kaznowski will lead the orchestra.
